~* A tribute to the shoes and band *~

This entry is a tribute to the 3 pairs of shoes and the Nike+ SportsBand that accompanied me for the 320km or so for the past 4 weeks. It was a painful and tiring ride but i'm glad we (the shoes, the sportsband and me) all pull through.hahaha..

Let me recall a few incidents over the past 4 weeks that i dun think i will forget for quite some time...

1. 1st day of work--> 16km with one of the managers. Was soooo tired becos i just returned from my 2 weeks of grad trip and wasn't exercising.felt my legs after the run...told myself will rest the next day but the next day...my DIRECTOR asked me if i wanna go for a run...no prizes for the right answer...and so thats 10 more km for me.

2. last weekend of the challenge--> still 80km off the target given to me by the 'chief' of the challenge in my team with 4 days to go. wanted to relax but after i was told one of my female colleague ran 20km the previous day...i was 'inspired/motivated' or maybe jus my ego took a batter. i went to run 20km too on sat jus to make sure i dun lose out.haha..then on sunday, just when i tot i could relax after doing a 20 the previous day...my manager msg me again and say he jus finish 80km over the weekend. WTF!!thats 1 marathon a day in 2 days! hes madness but hes wat motivate me all through the challenge by running with me and giving me targets.

So on sunday, i did a 32 km run...which made me clocked a total of 52 km over 2 days!madness!!

3. the last day of the challenge...we are all super tired but still full of determination to win the challenge. went to east coast at 6am to run 20km before we go work!was bloody shacked by the time we finish and went for work. After work, i did another 16km with the gals in my dept. i was tasked to bring them for a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGG run in order to clock the distance. I think i did a good job. they never ran sooooo much and sooooo long in their life..guess i am part of their life milestone now.ahhaha..

So i was quite glad when the challenge is finally over and although we lost by about 90km in the end, i still think we have done a terrific job.13 vs 23 pple is no joke and we lost only by 90km...that could have just been covered by just 1 extra person.

i think in our mind, we knew we did well and although we lost, i am sure non of us are sad/disappointed cos we really run our hearts out...and for me..ran my knees out..ahaha..

so heres what accompanied me throughout the runs....a tribute to them..
