~* Just Got It *~
Finally, after pursuing my dream job for almost a year....i finally got it yesterday! YES...i am now a perm staff in my dream company and in the footwear department..the department i interned in last Dec, the pple that made me feel so welcomed and looking forward to come to work everyday when i had to travel almost 3 hours to and back from my place to work.
It wasn't a smooth path to getting this job. I had to face rejection due to my NS commitments. However, i was determined to get a job there, as long as its a position that suited me and my qualifications...so i volunteered to help out as and when they needed help. I also 'free-lance' to do some research/surveys for them just so that i could stay in the radar.
And as luck would have it, while i was on holiday in Europe, i got a sms from the HR manager and when we talked on the phone, she said that she had a offer for me and ask me to go to the office to sign once i am back from europe. Best of all, i was going to go for a trip with my team to the world HQ in portland next week!WTH!!i was soooo overjoyed and excited upon hearing all this i just said ok without even asking how much the pay was.hahaha...i did eventually found out and it was not too bad though its below wat i wanted. but i am willing to get something lower in order to come into the only company i was thinkin of working for ever since my internship last year.
So while i am going to start work on thurs, i am still thinking how lucky i am to get the job and also to get into the footwear dept again. The guys there are all very nice and i really look forward to working with them again...this time, as their REAL colleague.
I have my dreams fulfilled...and i think that its really impt for all of us to chase our dreams if we have one..cos if we really want it hard enough, one day..we will achieve it.
