~* Interview for Star On Track Scheme *~
Finally...after 8 months of waiting after sending my application...they finally called us up for the interview for the Star On Track Scheme, which in layman term..is Nike's mgment trainee program. It was a huge group interview...20 of us in a grp. It was fun and interesting though and unlike normal interview.
We were first asked to do a short self intro and then had a team assignment to do and present it to the rest of the pple including the assessors like lawrence, ivy, sacha and chun kit. It was quite ok as i got my fav category--soccer and were doing on SPARQ, something i knew and am more familiar with, compared to the rest.
After the interview, i stayed in the office to have lunch with the FW team pple. I have always felt at home with them. I really feel like a part of them. I even have this feeling that i am 'part' of their team...even though i noe i am not. AM I DESPERATE OR WAT!?!?!hai..and like my frens said...i think i am too engrossed in this whole issue liao...that if i touch wood..never get a job there...i really will be very sad and dunno wat else i wanna do. But every part of my heart and brain says this is the job i wan...and being a stubborn ass..i wun give up until i get a chance at it. Even if after i do liao and feel its not the right job for me...at least i tried and wun have any regrets.
Alright...should stop all this emo shit..ahah..just wanna share this conversation i had with my Nike colleague over lunch yesterday.
A: So aik leong, you wanna work in the FMCG industry?
me: erm...i wanna do something sports related.
C: No..he doesnt wan to work in FMCG, he wans to work in NIKE.
me: laughs and nods furiously
they jus have this sense of humour and way of conversing that makes mi feel like sitting there and listening to them toking the whole day.you will feel entertained just be listening. Hope i can achieve that 'power' one day.hahaha..must be more angmoh..
Right now...i am waiting for the result of this interview. Judging from my conversation with the manager that interviewed me for the previous post of FW coordinator, i think they need to hire within the next month...so think i am as good as goodbye for that. OH WELL...as much as i hate it..i guess theres nothing i can do. Just hope that at the end of everything...i still will get a job in there...preferably in the marketing side/ekin/FW BU.
