~* Sg Pools OJT1 *~
I went for my on the job training as a telebettor in singapore pools this morning. The training was supposed to train us to be ready to be an independant telebettor able to help customers who call in to take bets on soccer.
Unfortunately, i was 1 min late and the mentor assigned to coach me was given the privilege of 'nagging' at me for being late.Nonetheless, i admit its my fault but to reach Selegie at 8am from NTU is quite a long journey..so i sort of miscalculated my time.
Anyway, wat was interesting about the training was that at the beginning, my mentor was quite firm and serious and strict when telling me and coaching me about the procedures and call script. Dun be mistaken, hes quite a nice guy, but maybe hes jus putting on a firm front so that i will learn and listen. So i just sat there and listen and ask him stuffs which i am not too sure about. Of cos, he din noe that i worked there b4 during last year's world cup and i already noe most of the procedures and i jus needed some 'refreshing'.
He told me that the training today consist of him teaching me, then i will navigate the mouse to place bets while he talk to the customer, then i will talk to the customer and he navigate, before finally letting me try to do the whole thing.But about an 2 hour into the training, after i navigate about 2 calls that he answered, he jus asked me(i dunno if he was half joking) if i was ready to do the whole thing(answer call and navigate the computer to place bet). I said ok and he was abit surprised too cos afterall, i am just into my first OJT and supposed to be new.
Anyway, i answered a few calls and did everything correctly.So he started talking to me and ask me some casual questions before asking me who introduced me to come for the job.Then i told him i worked b4 in this position during the World Cup last year and he was 'shocked and surprised'. Apparantly the 'world cuppers'(pple who worked during world cup) are abit 'worshipped' cos they sort of experience the WORLD CUP season which was the PEAK and BUSIEST period. So after i told him that, naturally he became less strict and talked to me more like a fellow worker rather than as a mentor.He even say hes my 'si di' cos he actually started work in sg pools later than me..ahhaha..and to be honest, being an ego freak, hearing that was quite satisfying..ahahha.
Anyway, after that, he said he din had to coach me much and basically jus tell mi abt the recent changes and new measures that is in place.So after that, my training time flew past and it ended without any glitches.AHAHAHA...wat a difference a sentence make.

~* BMW 7 Series *~
Thanks to 68, i got a chance recently to travel inside a BMW 7 series and gosh is it spacious...the car is so luxurious and comfortable and big and watever u can describe.I was sitting behind and the leg space is tremendous.I could stretch my leg all the way and i still will not hit the front seat.Ok..maybe becos i have short legs but still...the space is very big.Guess its not one of the most luxurious car for rich pple for nothing..ahaha..
Jus tot i take some pictures to show u the amount of the leg space.
Think i'm abit sua ku to be making a big hooha abt taking the 7 series..but hey..it might jus be my last chance...cos i dun think i will strike it that rich to own 1 in the future.ahaaaaha

Finally!!i can post pictures on the stupid blog.ahhaa...So i shall post these streetchallenge pictures...taken with oscar and andy(i am the extra), my team(kenneth can u pls come now) and the finalists(kenneth can u pls come now VS oscar and andy).

See the Aussie kids are really tall and well build..and they are supposed to be 15 and younger!!WTF!!when i told them i was 25..they were like laughing their ass off and giving me that 'u must be kidding' look..ahahha..oh well..i always take heart that i have frens like henry and shaun..wahwhaha
~* No more 325!! *~
Ehh..my 325 module..Training and Development is over!!just had our final presentation..40%..on a saturday morning..wat a bad timing..considering it was yf birthday party last night.
nevertheless, i managed to go for her party and also prepare for the presentation:) Think it was quite a good presentation except for abit of a rush during the last part due to time constraint.
Now that 325 is over..i look forward to monday!!another presentation...223!!FASTCAT!!i wanna kill the cat once and for all!!hahaha...after that i am free!!nope..not free from exams..but free from projects...will give myself a week's break b4 starting on my studies for exams!!

~* tiring 3 days *~
Supposed to post this yesterday but cos the system screwed up cannot upload pic, i tot i wait till todae then post with the pics..but who noes todae still cannot upload pic..so i will upload the pic when the lousy system recovers..meanwhile..jus read!hahaha
Its been a tiring past 3 days...starting with the Street Challenge prelim rounds on Friday followed by the actual day on Saturday. Played 7 matches altogether, walking over 1 and winning the champion:) Of cos, the star of the team is not me...but a certain Tran Son Tung which i think almost everyone in sportsclub noe abt now cos he just owned everyone during the tournament, scoring 15 goals in 7 matches and winning the top scorer award.
We got a TIMEX watch each and a nike ball for the team which i am keeping for memorial sake. Good return for a $7 investment.ahhaha...but i got no use for the TIMEX watch, so if anyone wants to buy a TIMEX watch for ard 50-60 bucks..let me noe:)
So after 2 days of street soccer, i got another match today in school..and the opponents??the AUSTRALIA Under 15 National Team! WAt an opportunity to play against the future Mark Vidukas, Tim Cahills and Harry Kewells!!so even though i am supposed to have quit the school team, i went back to play:)
And it was a good match..as in ya we lost, and ya most of the 15 year olds were taller than me and gave me that 'R u Kidding' look when i told them i was 25...but hey..it was a wonderful experience.And even though the score line was 5-2, i feel we could have done better if we had our full team. Nonetheless, its jus something worth remembering.

'On a more serious note, i think i understand why Davy Jones carved out his heart and locked it into a chest. Makes sense not to have any feelings. I mean when there will be someone who'll stomps all over it and make you feel like you wished you could just tear out your heart. When you think so much that it aches. And then you just feel like crap, you just don't want to do anything. And yet, that is not possible. Thus, you plaster a smile on your face, speak in with a perky tone, laugh more than usual, become exceptionally high, basically do everything to show others that nothing is wrong, that it was nothing much. Yet, no matter how hard you try, your feelings betray you to those you're close to. They know that you're going through pain, and yet you just want to deny it. You don't want to think about it, but it comes like a poltergeist, haunting you, playing with your mind. Basically, my personal thought is, we should all be given keys to our hearts. ohhh well..that crazy one week has past...think my brains are functioning better now...will make more sensible decisions from now on..ahhahaha

~* Meeting up *~
Finally..after like 1 year and 3 months, i finally met up with my dear poly classmates again. Its funny how pple always say Singapore is so small and we can meet up anytime but we ALWAYS take longer than always to meet up.Maybe its cos everyone is busy with work and their own stuff such as bf/gf, sleep, meeting up with other frens or studies or 2034395086 other excuses/reasons.
Anyway, we managed to agree on a day where besides Gen who went holiday, the rest of us all could make it...SURPRISINGLY.Perhaps it because we realised that we haven met each other for very long liao...or maybe its because i said that i was going to pass them my wedding invites(and i wonder how many of them actually believed that).
Nonetheless, besides huifen who got caught up at work, we all met in town for dinner.It was really great meeting of all them.Sometimes it reminds me of our poly times...where we will just slack during lessons and went out during breaks for lunch and never make it back to school for the afternoon lessons..haha..but how times have past.Huifen is married with a 1 year old child.The rest of thems all have plans for marriage liao.Rachael even bought a flat liao...hahaha...and to think that she was the least likely to get married type in poly.Not as in shes ugly or butch or wat..ahahha..but as in shes the most independant and 'fierce' among the gals.Ohh well..somethings jus dun turn out the way u think it will..thats the amazing thing about life..isn't it?
Like i said, it was great seeing each other again and updating about our lifes with one another..especially the sharing of the proposal story by rach which had to be repeated 4-5 times because each one that came late wanted to noe the story.But i am sure rach dun mind telling the story another 3035864 times and showing off ur diamond ring rite?ahahha:P
Hopefully, it will not be another 1 year 3 months b4 we meet up again...if not i will have to use the wedding invites story again to lure all of them out.
But i wonder how effective it will be if i were to use the same story again....ahha...lets see...

~* Energy from within *~
I find that whenever i am feeling very happy...or very unhappy...i always go running...not that i never go run almost everyday.But when i am especially happy or unhappy..i tend to run long distance...and very far...i think its cos i wanna tired myself out so that i wun have energy to think of the unhappy stuff(but if its cos i am happy..its just because of the adrenaline pumping).
I think its very amazing how being unhappy can make one have that extra energy from within to do things that one will not do usually. Like today, i wasn't feeling very happy...i jogged from NTU to Jurong point and back at a faster than normal speed and i wasn't tired at all when i reach back in school.Gosh...if only i can have that amount of energy everytime...i will be damn fit!hahaha...
But running really helps one feels better...usually if i am unhappy i go jog and by the time i come back..i am feeling much better already.Guess i am used to having exhuastion therapy...hmmm...wonder if that energy can last me for the 42km i am gonna run for standchart marathon in Dec...ahahha

~* Vending machine *~
This is a interesting vending machine...a condom machine..it might not be something new to you if you are a regular clubber cos the washroom there have also..but guess where did i see this??
At HarbourFront Cruise Center's toilet...ahhaha...they must have know that pple come here and go from there to places for 'entertainment' purposes.hahah..so they provide them with vending machines to buy condoms and also have posters to ask them to be responsible and use condoms should they enduge in any sexual activities...HOW CREATIVE..ahhaha..
But i must say that the authorities are doing a good job in identifying the right 'target market' and place to put these posters and machines....cos harbour front is INDEED the places when ah peks go to batam and other indonesia island in search for some cheap and fun time..if u noe wat i mean.
Hopefully the posters and the machines will help prevent some of the ah peks and uncles from getting AIDS...maybe geylang should have this type of machines too...hahahha

I did it before twice, voluntarily...and thats excluding the times when everyone had to do it without choice.
I still remember...the first time i did it was when David Beckham scored the last minute equalizer against Greece that allowed England to qualify for the 2002 World Cup.
The second time was just before i went to Brunei for my Jungle Confidence Course.
Today, i did it again..for the 3rd time. Reason? I just felt like it given the things that happened during the past week:)

Yay....this is my 100th post in the new blogspot page...and just nice..its an entry i quite like..cos i am going to share with u pple some of my purchases during my phuket and bangkok trip last week.
Alright...first..in phuket..i bought a 60cents(15 baht) magnetic ear stud which i think was very cool...let mi wear 'ear studs' without having to punch a hole on my ear.but the blink blink thing drop yesterday..so now i noe y its only 60cents..ahaha..
k..then i also bought nice singlets..imitation of cos..but it stills looks quite nice i think..and heres the pic...a man utd fake singlet...but it looks just like the real thing that i bought...i mean it look jus like the jersey that i bought...although the jersey is fake also...but its like high grade imitation..so it looks as good as real..

Why issit that everytime someone who kicks me wanna say i dive.Why issit then that whenever other pple fall the same way or even fall at a softer challenge they get a foul.
When the stud marks are on my shin and ankle why issit that they still dare to say they din touch me and i was faking injury.
I am getting pissed off with all this.One day..when i had enough and lose control...i am very sure i will go break someone's leg in revenge.Lets see when will this day come...

~* back to reality *~
Yes...i am finally back in Singapore...and also back to reality..and that is i got lots of projects and school work to catch up cos i jettison them for phuket and bangkok...and they are making mi pay for abandoning them then by coming to me all together now.
But thanks to my nice grpmates, they did my part of work for me while i was away so i can enjoy my holidays and yet still managed to finish our grp project in time for presentation tomolo...thanks gals and guy:)
Anyway, the trip to bangkok was good...like i said..nothing beats sponsored shopping and meals and although i din really shop alot there...i din have to pay for watever little i bought.THANKS TO DADDY AND MUMMY!!well i guess the most expensive item we bought there was 3 pairs of slippers costing abt 8-9 bucks each...and the most we spent was on seafood every evening..less shopping more eating..life is about finding the perfect balance..ahha.
We also found out that Thais are very patriotic and loyal to their country.They are very frenly too...there were about 4-5 pple who came up to us when they see me holding the map and offered help.They told mi not only abt where i wanted to go...but also about their national campaign last week...which was that the govt was selling their jewelrys(thailand produced Ruby and sapphire) tax free.I mean like all the pple i saw told mi we MUST go buy and shouldn't miss the chance and stuff...i dunno if we can ever see singaporeans supporting our national campaign like the thais do...absolutely eye opening.
Oh..and the moment i touched down the airport back to singapore yesterday, i rushed back to school so that i could attend the SUniG prize presentation like i mentioned in the earlier post. I reach just in time b4 the thing starts and i must say overall the ceremony wasn't as 'grand' as i expected it to be...nonetheless, its memorable cos the soccer team was first...its good to be first...good feeling..ego boosting..haha..and also..its memorable cos i broke the glass table i was sitting on..ahahha...hope they dun make me pay for it.
And of cos..this is wat i sacrifice Chatuchak for to come back earlier from bangkok...
